Creative Minds at Work

Applied Learning or Fine Arts strives to provide students with opportunities in engaging activities that will generate interest, spark passion, increase application of skills and knowledge, and facilitate communities that cultivate productive, civically-minded members of society.  Applied Learning for elementary students focuses on six areas: Civic Engagement, Music & Performing Arts, Physical Education, STEM & Computer Science, and Visual Arts.

ART 

In Mrs. Garcia's art class, students learn about various mediums such as, painting, drawing, collage, etc. Students are also learning  about art fundamentals, which include color,  value, texture, line, etc. The importance of creativeness and experimenting with different mediums and tools while having fun is encouraged  by Mrs. Garcia. PE

Coach B. introduces the day’s activity—this could range from classic games like tag, skill-building exercises like dribbling, balancing, or relay races. Lessons are designed to promote physical fitness, teamwork, coordination, and sportsmanship.
